Hamilton celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Hamiltonians will celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Youngey at a luncheon on Friday, the 12th in Hamilton. 

The luncheon is scheduled for 11:30am to 1pm on Friday, the 12th at the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center at Miami University Regionals Hamilton campus, 1600 University Boulevard. Tickets are $10 a person and $80 a table, but there’s a limit of 100 tickets. The event is sponsored by Hamilton Community Foundation, 17STRONG, Miami University Regional’s Center for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and the YWCA Hamilton. You can reserve tickets here.

If you can't make it to the luncheon, you can participate in a march on Monday, January 15th through the city. 

If you would like to participate, please meet at Booker T. Washington at 10am, located at 1140 S. Front Street. The march will begin at 11am sharp with a program to follow at 12pm at Christ Temple COGIC. The speaker is Reverend Eric Carson of Columbus, Ohio.
