MCFD Receives Federal Grants!

Milford Community Fire Department is thrilled to announce it has been awarded a pair of FY 2021 FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) for training and equipment.

A group of six fire departments in the region (MCFD, Goshen Township, Blue Ash, Madeira-Indian Hill, Mason, and Loveland-Symmes) will share $220,454 to send multiple firefighters and fire officers to the Blue Card Command instructor course, Ohio Fire Executive (OFE) program, Leadership Academy, and fire officer classes.

Also, MCFD has been awarded a grant of $160,214 to purchase 21 new self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) to replace aging equipment nearing the end of its life.

Clermont County fire departments have  already accumulated over $1,000,000 in FY 2021 FEMA AFG awards for firefighter hiring, training, and equipment.  Visit https://www.fema.gov/grants/preparedness/firefighters to see if your FD is a lucky recipient.
