It's a special gift to put yourself out there for others; giving never expecting to receive. As chief of police, I want to recognize and thank our Springdale Police employees, both sworn and civilian, for the work they do to keep this community safe, to give hope to those who feel lost, to restore order to those lives that may be in chaos, to brave the chilling blizzard to keep those on the roads safe, to lend a helping hand in a moment of need or the work so many of you have done to brighten Christmas for those less fortunate. It's easy for us to take for granted that someone is out there, putting their life on the line to keep all of us safe. It's no small deed. It's something all of us should take a moment to reflect upon. When you see an officer out there on the beat this Christmas day, please wave at them or say hello. They work Christmas so you can enjoy the blessings that are most important in your lives. I just want to say how proud I am to be associated with all of them. God bless the Thin Blue Line.
