City of Forest Park recently issued the following announcement on Mar 10.
The Forest Park Police Department in partnership with WeTHRIVE! Forest Park is please to announce that they are holding the Spring DEA Drug Take Back event on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10 am - 2 pm. The collection point will be in the lobby of the Forest Park Police Station at 1203 W. Kemper Road.
The drug overdose epidemic in the United States is a clear and present public health, public safety, and national security threat. DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day reflects the DEA’s and Forest Park's commitment to Americans’ safety and health, encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.
What Items Are Being Collected?
You can bring in any expired or unneeded pills for safe disposal.
What Items Are Not Allowed?
We are unable to accept any liquids, inhalers, patches, or needles.
Who Can Participate?
Anyone is welcome. They do not have to be a resident of Forest Park.
