Councilman Jerry Wilson presented the Harrison Fire Department a $13,382 donation on behalf of American Legion’s Charities Inc. at the Feb. 21 City Council meeting. The funds will be used to purchase lifesaving medical equipment.
Four automated external defibrillators (AEDs) will be purchased and placed at the following locations:
1. Harrison Community Center (300 George Street)
2. Yeager-Benson America Legion Post 199
3. Harrison Youth Baseball and Football
4. Harrison High School
Harrison Fire Department will be training with the equipment when it arrives.
