Several city departments including fire, public works, and administration have met with MSD and OEPA officials in response to odor issues on Bernard and West Street area.
First and foremost it has been determined that there is no public health concern.
The agencies are working on fully identifying and correcting the root cause.
If you are smelling odors inside your home, you may Run water in any of your basement floor drains or fill any traps in basement which can help suppress any odors. Also you can run sinks or showers or wash tubs in basement that are not frequently used.
This need only be done in the areas on Bernard, West, or Riesenberg if you’re smelling these odors inside your home, not citywide.
