Anthony Munoz Leadership Semina

Mt. Healthy high school students attended the Anthony Munoz Leadership Seminar along with students from 68 other schools in the area. Only a limited number of students per school were permitted with each school choosing students that exemplified a capacity for leadership. The Anthony Munoz Foundation arranged transportation in the form of charter bus for Mt. Healthy and Woodward students.

From the moment students stepped off the bus in the morning they were greeted in the parking lot with music, dancing Chick-fil-A mascots, an energetic group of foundation members, and other students. The theme was "(un)written" and challenged student leaders to, "explore their own story...dive into how what is already written can define future chapters and encourage them to imagine what comes next."

There were multiple inspirational speakers that started off the day including Anthony Munoz himself. Everything came back to leadership and how these students were the future leaders. After lunch, students were put into small group breakout sessions with a variety of other students to discuss a variety of leadership related ideas.

Thank you to Derrick Sanders, Amy Criswell, and Dr. Diamond for making this wonderful opportunity a reality for our students. Mr. Sanders was actually a participant in the leadership seminar during his years as a student. His passion for the event was evident and he discussed the impact it had on his life, "(the seminar) was a pivotal point in my career that I never forgot." Thank you to the Anthony Munoz Foundation and their continued support of young leaders in the Cincinnati area, there are generations that have been positively impacted by your efforts.
