City of Blue Ash issued the following announcement on Feb 11.

Rumpke customers in Blue Ash can now add plastic, paper, and aluminum cups to their recycling bins!

“Recently, paper mills throughout Midwest have pledged to accept paper cups and recycle into paperboard and cardboard and innovations in plastic recycling have opened up secure, long-term partners for additional types of plastic to make this change possible,” said Rumpke Municipal and Public Sector Specialist Dean Ferrier, in an email. “Additionally, Rumpke has upgraded technology at its facility to help recover the cups entering its plant.”

There are a few exceptions – styrofoam and polystyrene #6 cups won’t be accepted. Watch the video above and read more at Rumpke Recycling’s website.
