City of Springdale issued the following announcement on Jan 11.

On Friday, January 7, the Springdale Youth Boosters held their annual Winter Sports Pep Rally and Springdale Youth Sports Hall of Fame Induction Night. The Mayor, City Council, Rec Commission, Springdale parents, coaches, and players all attended to help cheer our basketball teams to victory and remember those inducted into the hall of fame.
DJ Rick got the crowd pumped up by playing dance music while our Springdale cheer squad and 17 basketball teams, paraded in team-by-team. Once all teams had entered, our very own Springdale Police Department, presented the colors for the Pledge of Allegiance. After a few introductions, Mayor Webster inducted six members into the Springdale Youth Sports Hall of Fame; Ken Broenner, Marjorie Pollitt Harlow, Tommy Holmes, Artie Little, Gary Neu, and Danny Price. The focus then turned to the introductions of our basketball teams. Each team was introduced and presented their team banner. You could tell that our teams took great pride in designing and presenting their banners.
One player from each team went home with a brand new basketball and every player in attendance went home with a Springdale lanyard.
SYB put on a spectacular event and our coaches and players left with an extra pep in their step!
