Madeira Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan 12.
Last night we were honored to officially swear-in Madeira's newest Police K9 Onyx, with the help of Mayor Chris Hillberg. The purchase of Onyx was made possible by the generosity of The Matt Haverkamp Foundation. Nancy and Bruce Haverkamp have donated 85 police K9s across the area. This is the second K9 they have donated to the City of Madeira. A heartfelt thank you to the Haverkamp family for the support of our K9 program and helping make our Madeira community and beyond safer.
