City of Harrison issued the following announcement on Jan 17.
Local utilities provider Duke Energy has provided the following resources to help Harrison residents get through the winter months.
AVOIDING UTILITY SCAMS
Duke Energy warns consumers of scam phone calls that may appear legitimate. The caller ID may even read "Duke Energy." Upon answering the call, an urgent voice insists that electric or natural gas service is being disconnected in 30 minutes unless payment is made immediately over the phone. Duke Energy says to hang up immediately. Learn more.

Winter brings colder weather, which can bring higher energy bills. That’s especially true for natural gas customers, as natural gas prices are rising across the globe.
