K9 Doc Retires from Madeira Police Department

Retirement happy 1000x667

City of Madeira issued the following announcement on Jan 11.

K9 Doc has retired from the Madeira Police Department after seven plus years of service to the community.  Doc has served Madeira and the region with distinction during his career.

Doc was the City's second police K9. He was donated to the Police Department by former Madeira Mayor Sarah Evans and her husband Tom. The Evans family continues their generosity and support of the Madeira K9 Unit by donating funds to care for Doc in retirement and purchase needed equipment.

Doc is looking forward to his retirement with the Farris family.  Doc's retirement plans include chasing squirrels and taking advantage of the many benefits provided by his "AARF" card.

Thank you for your service, Doc!
