UPDATE- THE JULY 11 DATE IS CANCELED
The City of Toledo is sponsoring four free disposal days at the Hoffman Road Landfill. Residents will be permitted to bring a truck or trailer load of bulky solid waste items for free disposal to the Hoffman Road Landfill, subject to the terms and conditions stated herein. A current utility bill and valid photo ID will be required to verify proof of residency. Acceptable bulky waste items include: excess trash, furniture, carpeting, mattresses, wood waste, scrap metal, etc. No free commercial disposal.
These items will NOT BE ACCEPTED:
Paint
Oil
TVs / Monitors
Chemicals
Asbestos
Liquid Waste
Mercury
Propane Tanks
Medical Waste
Hazardous Waste
Flammable Materials
Toxic Materials
Industrial Waste
Corrosive or Caustic Materials
Steel Drums (any size)
Poisonous Materials
Lead Acid Batteries
Yard Waste (limbs, stumps, large logs, brush)
Items Containing Freon (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, etc.)
Tires (accepted w/fee paid)
Boat (accepted w/fee paid, no batteries, drained of ALL fluids)

Additional information can also be obtained from the Lucas County Solid Waste Management District at 419-213-2230 or their website at www.lucas.oh.us.
IMPORTANT: Residents must line up and enter the landfill on Hoffman Road via the direction of Manhattan Blvd. Entry will not be permitted from Matzinger/Schwartz Road(s).
Solid Waste employees will be on site to verify residency, load contents, and direct residents who will be permitted to dispose of solid waste at the landfill for free. You will be responsible to unload your own vehicle. No manpower or equipment will be available for assistance.
Small contractors may bring their commercial waste/scrap debris to the landfill for standard fees of $16 per cubic yard. The city reserves the right to refuse any loads that are deemed to be unfit. If questionable, please call first. Please contact the landfill at 419-936-3077 for information regarding commercial waste.
