Abrams to Advise Newly Formed Ohio Juvenile Justice Working Group

State Rep. Cindy Abrams (R-Harrison) has been appointed by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to advise the newly formed Ohio Juvenile Justice Working Group. The working group's main objective is to assess the operations of the Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS) and its partnerships with county juvenile detention facilities.

With a focus on youth safety, education, reentry support, and health and mental health services, the working group aims to address the issues that have been brought to light in relation to juvenile detention centers.
