ROXANA HOLLAND, DIRECTOR OF FIELD EDUCATION AND AN ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF SOCIAL WORK AT MSJ, INTERVIEWED BY FOX 19 ON TRIHEALTH’S DEDICATION TO TREATING PATIENTS BASED ON THEIR NEEDS.

TriHealth is dedicated to treating patients based on their needs while delivering high-quality and equitable health care. To accomplish this, TriHealth looks beyond treating all patients the same, they strive to accommodate patients’ different circumstances, needs, and preferences. One massive thing TriHealth is doing to accommodate patients’ preferences is striving to provide more physicians with versatile gender, racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.

Roxana Holland is the Director of Field Education and an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Mount St. Joseph University along with being a first-time parent to a beautiful baby girl. When Roxana was starting her pregnancy journey with TriHealth as her Health Care provider she wanted to make sure her primary OB/Gynecologist reflected her lived experience during this special and pivotal time. Roxana was thrilled when she was introduced to Dr. Regina Rae Whitfield, MD, MPH, FACOG, TriHealth OB/Gynecologist.

Dr. Whitfield is a board-certified physician, a national speaker, an author, and a women’s health expert with nearly 20 years of experience caring for women during their reproductive journeys. Dr. Whitfield and Roxana also have similar lived experiences, both being women and women of color. Roxana felt comfortable with Dr. Whitfield being her primary physician to offer the best level of care for her and her daughter during pregnancy through delivery.
